Johanna Unterpertinger (*2000) studiert im Master Historische Blasinstrumente/Blockflöte sowie im Bachelor Musikologie an der Kunstuniversität Graz, wo sie zuvor die Bachelorstudien Historische Blasinstrumente/Blockflöte und IGP Klassik-Blockflöte mit Auszeichnung abschloss. Sie widmet sich einerseits der Alten Musik und der historischen Aufführungspraxis, andererseits auch der zeitgenössischen Musik und Improvisation, was sie sich als Schwerpunkt im IGP-Studium setzte. Seit Oktober 2022 spielt Johanna historische Fagottinstrumente bei Klaus Hubmann. Sie besucht regelmäßig Meisterkurse und erhielt so neue Impulse von Conrad Steinmann, Susanna Borsch, Mara Winter, Giovanni Battista Graziadio und anderen. Ab Herbst 2024 macht sie einen Erasmus-Aufenthalt am CNSMD Lyon und studiert in der Klasse von Tiago Simas Freire, ab Februar 2025 wird sie an der ESMUC in Barcelona bei Pedro Memelsdorff studieren.

Neben dem Studium ist sie privat als Instrumentallehrerin tätig und tritt regelmäßig mit verschiedenen Ensembles auf, so zum Beispiel mit Trio Tenso oder duo nadima. Mit duo nadima trat sie im Finale der Ensemblekategorie 7 von TARF 2022 an sowie im Semifinale von ORDA 2023. Auch mit verschiedene Orchestern trat Johanna auf, so zum Beispiel mit novantik austria, Orchester 1756, oder dem Concilium Musicum Wien. Sie wirkte bei verschiedenen Festivals mit, u.a. das Tenth International Marco Scacchi Early Music Festival (LT), Lange Nacht der Kirchen (AT), Residenzfestspiele Darmstadt (DE), impuls minutenkonzerte (AT), Summa Sonorum (AT) oder Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht (NL).

Eigene Projekte beinhalten das Kollektiv et art., das sie 2022 mit drei anderen Kunststudierenden ins Leben rief: Es setzt sich artistisch mit dem Klimawandel in Österreich auseinander. Ein weiteres Projekt ist Der forschende Musicus#, eine musikwissenschaftliche Zeitschrift, die sich mit aktuellen Themen der Historischen Aufführungspraxis beschäftigt.

Johanna Unterpertinger (*2000) is studying for a Master's degree in Historical Wind Instruments/Recorder and a Bachelor's degree in Musicology at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where she previously completed her Bachelor's degree in Historical Wind Instruments/Recorder and Music Education - Recorder with honors. She is dedicated to Early Music and its Performance Practice on the one hand, and contemporary music and improvisation on the other, which she focused on especially in her studies of music education. Johanna is also playing historical bassoons with Klaus Hubmann since October 2022. She regularly attends masterclasses and has received new inspiration from Conrad Steinmann, Susanna Borsch, Mara Winter, Giovanni Battista Graziadio and others. From autumn 2024, she will be spending a semester abroad at the CNSMD Lyon studying in the class of Tiago Simas Freire, from February 2025 she will be studying at the ESMUC in Barcelona with Pedro Memelsdorff.

In addition to her studies, she works privately as an instrumental teacher and regularly performs with various ensembles, such as Trio Tenso and duo nadima. Her own projects include the collective et art., which she founded in 2022 with three art students: It deals artistically with topics of the climate change in Austria. Another project is Der forschende Musicus#, a musicological magazine that deals with current topics in historical performance practice.
